This musical term is a very well-known musical term that would be familiar to musicians and non-musicians alike. A Riff is that short original phrase in a song that gets repeated throughout the song and is usually memorable and instantly recognisable for each different song. LO2 (U21): Be able to create a proposal and pitch for an original media product based on a given brief Potential client questions, my responses and amendments (M2 U21)  After the practice pitch, the first question that I got asked was whether or not I had any ethical constraints for the magazine . This question proved that I had not done enough research into all the areas that I needed to be familiar with When Delivering a proposal of this sort. I was unable to answer the question so this high lighted the importance of researching all necessary areas so when it comes to being questioned by a professional I would be able to deliver a true and confident response. For my real pitch I am going to make sure that I tell the client all ethical constraints that I have considered and I how I would overcome any legal and ethical issues.  The next question I was asked was How did I know that Camden was the most popular area . Feedback: The first piece of feedback that I received was on the band I was focusing on "Big Thief". I was told this was a good example of how bands use social media to spread their message. This is a good piece of advice because it demonstrated that my magazine was in line with the brief regarding new and upcoming music. In the brief, it states that the magazine should be focused on a "vibrant music scene developing locally". The brief also states that the magazine should be online and print-based. Therefore, by having a focus on social media, I feel like I am relating to my target demographic, because they will be likely to find the content interesting, and also use devices such as black boxes to access the magazine. LO3 (U21): Be able to pitch ideas on a proposed media product and respond to questions   Criticisms: . the sketch layout of my front cover - I rejected feedback due to the fact I was going for a minimalistic design. this however had to be changed later on when I realised it didn't work.  . my use of colour -  . why I need a model the main thing that was critiqued in my pitch was that my sketch layout for the front cover of my magazine contained too much dead space for a new magazine entering the scene for the first time. My intention was to go for a very minimalistic design as I figured it would look more sleek and stylish than a more cluttered looking magazine front cover. however, this was criticised as a new magazine which does not yet a have a huge following should really be showcasing a lot more on its front cover than what it looked like on my sketch. there has to be a balance struck between being informative and not looking too ...

LO2 (U3): Be able to plan and develop pre-production materials for an original media product to a client brief  shown above is an example of a typical industry standard talent release form. this form would filled out by anyone featured within my magazine in order for me to legally use them within it. this would include models, musicians etc. I have a musician modelling on the front cover of magazine so they would be required to fill out this form before I can publicise any image of them.
